STP's Consultants
STP's policy is to only employ
quality interim management consultants
with over 15 years experience of managing IT projects,
all of whom have extensive first-hand experience of
application development and system support.
Being a new company intending to grow organically,
but have the ability and contacts to take on skilled staff
from associated firms as required.
Currently we only have 3 employees across all divisions, but
we also have many associates with over 10 years experience
from programmers, testers and infrastructure specialists
ready to deliver for you.
In addition to STP's contract assignments,
we can also place quality associates with customers
who prefer to take on their consultants directly,
rather than from a consultancy.
Such assignment placements work similarly to
recruitment agencies.
For instance, we are currently negotiating to place
an interim manager,
who has previously worked for
a STP director at two former employers,
to a central bank.
The company name is a clue that the main consultant
is the founder, Greg Solomon.
Some highlights of Greg's experience are:
- Application project and development management - since 1986.
(Also has a background as programmer from 1983-94,
developing and supported over 220 concurrent users
of a single application system.)
- Multi-project management - since 1988.
- Programme management - since 1993
- 12 projects managed or co-ordinated in 1996-7;
60 application systems managed or co-ordinated
in 2001 for a single business objective.
- Systems management - since 1986.
Responsible for provision of IS/IT services
to up to 700 users of a single server
across 7 countries.
- Change management - 1995-96.
Responsible for all provision of IT/IS and voice services to 180 traders.
- Staff management - since 1986.
Up to 20 staff line-managed concurrently;
five projects with over 50 functional reports, some concurrent.
Long term functional developers located abroad.
- Hands-on programming skills, 1983-94.
- Financial products expert,
including quantitative analytics and financial risk management.
- Detailed experience of financial trading, sales,
financial control, risk management,
settlement operations, compliance,
treasury and their inter-departmental business flows.
