STP's training division for the catering and hospitality industry trades under the name Training Matters. We have been trading as an accredited training & examination centre since 2001 and can provide you with bespoke training or consultancy relevant for your business. For the training industry we also offer candidate educational & work assessments, internal verification work of other assessors, teacher training services, & course team leader services.

The most usual course we run is the Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene (formerly called the Basic Food Hygiene Certificate), for which we are an accredited training and examination centre with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health. We are also an accredited training & examination centre for Occupational Health & Safety Training (Health & Safety in the workplace, Manual Handling and COSHH.
All trainers have at least 15 years of training experience in catering and hospitality, with extensive industrial experience before that.
